The island of Maui in Hawai'i is my favorite place on earth, and the subject of many paintings, with the tropical foliage, and island views. The ever-changing water in a lake, stream or ocean rests my mind and brings out my artist creative eye. Water is hard for an artist to capture just the way the eyes sees it; I strive to create the feeling of the moment in my original art, either tranquil lake or surging ocean waves...or something in between.

A morning walk presented this scene that took my breath away. Maui days with uninterrupted beach walks and warm sunshine. All my paintings have a story and this one was I could not believe how spectacular the days was! It was like Disneyland! Unreal, but so real. 24" x 36" original. Unframed. Giclee prints on watercolor paper and canvas limited edition giclee are available. All prices include S&H to USA destinations. Custom sizes available upon request.

Painting is a studio creation, morning walks to the location allowed me to see the scene and take the visions home to the studio to paint- in sessions covering a week or so. Calm, crystal clear waters meandering through the stretch of rocky shore with the morning light just starting to light up the rocks and water. The west Maui mountains are in the distance.
